Popularly known as FFA, Bishop Itunu Olufunke Felix Adejumo is a Nigerian pastor, conference speaker, author, mentor, and women’s ministry leader. She has dedicated her life to preaching the Gospel, empowering women, strengthening families, and raising believers who live according to God’s Word. Through decades of ministry, she has inspired countless people across Nigeria and many other nations.

She was born on 28 January 1963 into a humble family in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Her early years reflected the realities of a modest upbringing, where determination, faith, and perseverance became essential values. Those experiences shaped her character and prepared her for the remarkable journey that lay ahead.

Her arrival did not bring the celebration many expected. Several relatives had hoped for the birth of a boy instead of a girl. Despite that disappointment, God had a greater purpose for her life. The child whom some people overlooked would later grow into one of Nigeria’s most influential Christian women and a respected voice to families, church leaders, and women around the world.

Early Childhood

Her mother used to sell everything she could come by just to feed her children, and at one point, things were so bad that there were no plates in the house, as she had to sell them to pay for medicine when her son (Rev. Mrs. Funke Adejumo’s brother) fell ill. Despite the hardship, she managed to go to school till she graduated. At age 14, she became a born-again Christian and over the years, she has worked on improving herself and making the lives of those around her better as well.

In 1982, when Bishop Funke Adejumo was studying at the University of Ibadan, she met her husband. The romance bloomed quickly, as he proposed to her the same year on September 8, and the couple tied the knot on September 8, 1984. The two founded the Agape Christian Ministries. Before, they had been living in Ibadan, but relocated to Ondo State in 1987. Today, the Agape Christian Ministries is a large ministry with more than 30 branches all across the country.

Career Life and Ordination

Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo is the President of the Funke Felix-Adejumo Foundation, a foundation that aims to help people who live in poverty with a focus on women, especially widows and single mothers. Her unique unction and utterance has endowed her to the hearts of people that have listened to her at conferences and seminars around the world.

Funke Felix-Adejumo was consecrated as Bishop on the 18th of January, 2025. She has a great passion for womanhood with a divine purpose on earth “Honouring God and Blessing Humanity”. This vision has transformed into many projects such as the Grace Orphanage, a Children’s Hospital and much more. Her foundation is dedicated to making worldwide impact with a special call to restoring dignity to womanhood and equipping women from all over the world. As the mother of the Agape Family Worldwide, hers is a story of a woman helped by God.
